Ruby on Rails Developer

Amazing Media Group are looking for an experienced developer with a strong Ruby and Rails background to join our small startup team. Candidates must have recent and relevant Rails experience, as well as a passion for clean and beautiful code.

Amazing Media Group have launched an unsigned music site (amazingtunes.com) which was developed using Ruby on Rails and is growing quickly. We've also got ambitious plans to extend the service to mobile and other platforms.

Required Skills:

• Expert knowledge of Ruby on Rails, and related technologies
• Competent with RSpec
• Real-world experience of consumer websites (and how to scale them)

Preferred Skills:

• Javascript (in an unobtrusive style)
• Experience of or interest in mobile technologies

Environment:

• We are a young company using an Agile approach
• We are based in the centre of Newcastle Upon Tyne
