This is a bitter-sweet narrative ballad told from the perspective of someone who has lost their lifelong partner, friend or even family member. The verrses relate the turmoil of being "visited" by the ghost, or simply by intense memories, of the person; contrasting with this, the chorus offers our hero the chance to regain peace of mind through dreaming and the romantic image of riding the sleek white horse over field and moutain side, to be with their special person. I can detect a little Pink Floyd in the opening - no less than a Wish You Were Here moment perhaps - in the picked 12 string figure. Other than that, this is possibly the "purest" TC song - it really gets to the heart of what my writing and playing is all about, and feedback so far would have me suspect its one of my best ever songs. A tall order to try to improve on it on my next CD, but I'm working on it!
